MANILA, Philippines – Two men, who had been at odds for a long time, tried to settle their differences with a fistfight until one of them drew a knife and stabbed the other in Caloocan City on Saturday night.

Edgardo Araneta, 43, of 6th street, Barangay 83, Grace Park, died while being treated at the Manila Central University Hospital, police said.

Police have launched a manhunt for Jerry Evangelista, who escaped.

Investigation showed that Araneta and Evangelista had a confrontation in front of the barangay hall at around 9:30 p.m.

A fistfight ensued between them until Evangelista pulled out a knife and stabbed Araneta in the chest.
