Chef found dead in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – A 30-year-old chef at a five-star hotel was found dead in his room in Malate, Manila shortly before midnight Saturday.

Pierre Gerald Lim, a chef at Resorts World Manila, was discovered lifeless by his aunt Elsie Urquico at 11:58 p.m., Police Officer 3 Dennis Turla of the Manila Police District homicide unit said.

Lim’s girlfriend, Melissa Anna Pongos, told police that she last spoke with her fiancé over the phone on Friday night.

Police are waiting for the result of an autopsy on Lim to determine the cause of his death. ­
