San Juan bet vows to fight drugs

Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – San Juan congressional aspirant Jana Ejercito has called for a comprehensive approach to solve the rising illegal drug problem in the city.

Ejercito said she believes that an effective drug addiction treatment plan that includes therapy, after-care, and self-help groups would be effective in helping drug dependents kick the habit.

She made her call following an anti-drug summit attended by at least 4,000 youths and their parents, wherein Mayor Guia Gomez said the illegal drug trade is flourishing in at least five of the city’s 21 barangays.
