MANILA, Philippines – A drunk barangay watchman stabbed a student whose motorcycle lights accidentally shone on him while he was urinating along Harrison street in Pasay City at dawn yesterday.
Jayson Balarosa, 24, is being held at the Pasay police detention cell pending the filing of frustrated homicide charges against him, city police chief Senior Superintendent Joel Doria said.
Reports said Balarosa was relieving himself along the street when he was hit by the lights on the motorcycle driven by JP Eugenio, 18, as the student parked in the area.
Irked, the suspect took a knife and stabbed Eugenio before fleeing.
The incident was caught on a closed-circuit television camera, prompting police to arrest Balarosa.
