MANILA, Philippines – Police investigators have copies of closed-circuit television footage showing the images of the men who killed a 63-year-old housewife in San Juan City.
One clip showed the gunman buying and drinking a bottle of beer and another showed him and a companion on a motorcycle tailing the Toyota Rav4 of victim Susan Tan-Uy, a source said.
“We are in the process of enhancing the video footage with the hope of getting a clear picture of the two suspects so they could be identified and subsequently arrested,” the source said.
He ruled out robbery as the motive in Tan-Uy’s murder as the victim’s money and other belongings were left intact in her Toyota Rav4 (PHQ-252).
Eastern Police District director Chief Superintendent Elmer Jamias refused to comment on the developments in the investigation of Tan-Uy’s murder, but said his men “are feverishly working to solve the case.”
The gunman bought a bottle of beer from a store a stone’s throw away from Tan-Uy’s house on Mariposa street but did not finish the bottle because the victim’s vehicle came out of the driveway.
The gunman was not wearing his helmet at the time.
The second video clip caught the two suspects, already wearing their helmets, on a motorcycle while tailing the victim’s vehicle until they reaching the intersection of Wilson street and Ortigas Avenue in Greenhills, where the gunman shot Tan-Uy.
