Woman slain in Port Area

MANILA, Philippines - Police investigators are trying to identify a woman who was killed in Port Area, Manila Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was described as between 20 and 25 years old, at least four feet tall and bearing a flower tattoo on her left foot, Police Officer 3 Michael Maraggun said.

She was clad in a red sleeveless blouse and a polka-dotted skirt when she was found dead at past 3 p.m. along 12th street.

Yasi Ayunan said he heard successive gunshots while he was in his house and saw the victim sprawled on the pavement when he looked out the window. 

Ayunan reported the incident to barangay officials, who called the police.

Marragun said they are still looking for witnesses who could shed light on the incident.
