Man dies after playing with gun

MANILA, Philippines - A man died after allegedly playing a drunken game of Russian roulette in Tondo, Manila Monday afternoon.

Rogelio Dalida died while undergoing surgery at the Ospital ng Maynila. He suffered a gunshot wound in the right temple.

Dalida had been drinking with some friends when another friend, who was carrying a gun, arrived at around 2 p.m., Police Officer 3 Michael Marragun said. 

Dalida reportedly borrowed the gun, playing with it before resting the muzzle against his temple and squeezing the trigger.

Marragun said the victim’s hands will be checked for gunpowder residue to determine if he was really the one who fired the gun.

Investigators will also check if the gun’s owner has a license to own a gun and if the firearm is registered.
