10 rounded up in Taguig anti-crime drive

MANILA, Philippines - The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) rounded up 10 people during an anti-crime drive in Taguig City Sunday.

Loreto Ocampo, Dodon Aguilar, Ferdinand Galleno, Jayson Punsalan, Gilbert Sarcauga, Rodin Apdal, Junifer Amon, Mansor Manaligan, Ronaldo VIllarin and Richard Codillo yielded a 9mm Glock pistol, a .38-caliber revolver and three packets of shabu, NCRPO chief Director Joel Pagdilao said.

Pagdilao said his men conducted an anti-crime campaign at Block 1, Purok 13, South Daang Hari following reports that the area is being used as haven by criminals.

A police team headed by Superintendent Melchor Cantil of the NCRPO’s Regional Police Intelligence and Operations Unit swooped down on the area at past 6 a.m. and arrested the 10 suspects.

The NCRPO will go full blast in its anti-crime drive during the Christmas season, Pagdilao said.
