Woman buys 2 winning tickets – by accident

Perseus Echeminada - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A 60-year-old housewife bought by accident two tickets that hit the jackpot of the 6/42 regular lotto’s Dec. 5 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced yesterday.

The woman told PCSO general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II she was only supposed to purchase one ticket for the combination 42-40-22-28-05-30 at a lotto outlet at Putatan, Muntinlupa City.

She has been betting on the combination, which she derived from the ages of members of her family, for several years. She won P6.8 million.

The number of tickets matters if the woman had to share her winnings with another person who guessed the winning combination.
