15 hurt as SUV hits van in BGC

MANILA, Philippines - Fifteen persons were hurt when a sport utility vehicle collided with a van carrying employees of a call center company at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig before dawn yesterday.

According to an initial police report, the accident happened at the intersection of 34th and 9th streets at around 4 a.m.

Romeo Pocholo Donayre, who was driving a Mitsubishi Montero, reportedly appeared drunk at the time of the accident, police said.

The van, carrying employees of the Valor Global Call Center Company, was crossing the intersection when Donayre’s vehicle hit it.

The van’s passengers, who suffered slight injuries, were taken to the nearby St. Luke’s Medical Center.
