CHR prober loses money to hotel thief

MANILA, Philippines - A special investigator of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) in Baguio City lost more than P60,000 cash he had left in his hotel room in Quezon City Wednesday night, police said yesterday.

Lyman Salvador, 60, and his colleagues Arvin Odron and Bienvenido Reano were billeted at the University Hotel to attend a seminar at the CHR office.

Police Officer 3 Noel Laguador said Salvador and his colleagues left their room at around 8 a.m. to attend the seminar. When they returned at around 5:30 p.m., Salvador noticed his wallet – containing P15,000 and $1,375 (about P50,000)  – was missing.
