FEU moves start of classes due to APEC

Janvic Mateo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The Far Eastern University (FEU) has moved the opening of classes for the second semester in its Manila and Makati campuses to Nov. 23 due to the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit later this month.

In an announcement, the university postponed the start of classes, originally scheduled on Nov. 9, to give way to the APEC Leaders’ Summit on Nov. 18 and 19.

“New enrolment schedule will be announced soon,” added the university.

Malacañang earlier proclaimed Nov. 18 and 19 as non-working holidays in Metro Manila.

The Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education later issued directive suspending classes on Nov. 17 and 20, extending class holidays to four days.
