MMDA lifts number coding for October 19

Rosette Adel - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Sunday evening lifted the number coding scheme for Monday due to heavy rains caused by typhoon "Lando."

MMDA announced the suspension of the unified vehicular volume reduction program in all cities and municipalities in Metro Manila at 6 p.m. but will be effective on Oct. 19, 2015, Monday.

Prior to MMDA’s announcement, Makati City already declared the lifting of the number coding scheme in the city due to anticipated traffic caused by possible flooding and heavy rains.

Some private and public schools in Metro Manila and Luzon already canceled classes for Monday due to the inclement water.
