Korean fugitive deported

Evelyn Macairan - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Immigration (BI) deported Korean fugitive Lee Sang Te over the weekend.

The 46-year-old Lee was escorted by immigration personnel and Korean police officers before he took his flight at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, BI spokesman Elaine Tan said.

Tan said there was no need to delay Lee’s deportation since he has been wanted by the Korean government since 2011.

Lee is reportedly a member of the Korean mafia and involved in gambling operations.
