MANILA, Philippines - Seven police officers of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) involved in the alleged shootout with Ryan Jaworski, son of basketball star and former senator Robert Jaworksi, maintained yesterday that the suspect’s arrest was valid on the ground that the shotgun he was selling was unlicensed.
The policemen, belonging to NCRPO Regional Police Intelligence Operations Unit (RPIOU), asked Makati Assistant City Prosecutor Gaudencio Tolledo Jr. to file charges against Jaworski before the court.
RPIOU agents arrested the younger Jaworski in Makati City on Sept. 19.
Police said Jaworski is not the registered owner of the Benelli M4 Super 90 shotgun, which was recovered from his car.
