Manhunt on for suspect in P100-M shabu bust

MANILA, Philippines - Police officers are hunting down a man who escaped a drug sting but left behind 20 kilos of shabu, with an estimated street value of P100 million, in Novaliches, Quezon City Wednesday night.

The suspect abandoned a Toyota Avanza (WOL-771), where the shabu was found, said Senior Superintendent Antonio Gardiola Jr., chief of the Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF).

The sting was set in Vista Verde Subdivision at around 10 p.m. on Sept. 30, AIDSOTF spokesman Chief Inspector Roque Merdegia said.
