BI offers reward for Korean fugitive’s capture

MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Immigration is offering a reward to anyone who can give information leading to the capture of a Korean extortion and robbery suspect who escaped from the BI jail in Taguig City Tuesday, BI Commissioner Siegfred Mison said yesterday.

Mison, who did not say how much the reward would be, ordered a manhunt for Cho Seongdae, 49, and formed a committee to investigate the escape and identify the individuals responsible.

Information about Cho can be sent through a text message to 0908-8946644 (Smart), 0932-894-6644 (Sun) or 0917-5733871 (Globe) using the following syntax: “CHO SEONGDAE <location> <name of informant>.”

The BI has also sought the assistance of the Philippine National Police and the National Bureau of Investigation.
