11 PDEA informants receive P2.6 M

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) awarded P2.6 million to 11 informants yesterday. 

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said the reward is in line with PDEA’s Operation Private Eye,  an incentive scheme to encourage the public to report any suspected illegal drug activities in their community.

An informant identified only as Cold Ice received P2 million for tipping the Quezon City Police District on the activities of two drug suspects who yielded 44,314.84 grams of suspected shabu in a drug sting on West Avenue on June 11.

A certain Rain received P97,227.70; Thor (P88,920), Aso (P80,047.56), Spawn3 (P76,659.25), Oxford (P68,936.67), Spawn2 (P60,569.18), Teteng (P50,224.36), June-June (P48,879.96), Spawn (P43,639.16) and Charlie (P33,866.45).
