Civil service clearance now available online

MANILA, Philippines - The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently announced that applications for clearances issued by the agency are now available online.

The CSC clearance is a document certifying that an individual has no pending administrative case with the CSC. It is used for employment, promotion, transfer of office or retirement.

Applicants may download a digital form at the CSC website (www.csc.gov.ph) and submit the accomplished form through e-mail to [email protected].

If the applicant prefers to receive the clearance through mail, he or she must send a postal money order for P100 together with a self-addressed and stamped envelope.

Applicants who want to personally pick up the clearance must proceed to the CSC central office in Batasan Hills, Quezon City, pay P100 to the cashier and get the clearance from the public assistance and complaints desk.

The CSC said the shift to online application would benefit clients with special needs such as senior citizens, persons with disabilities and pregnant women.

The CSC processes an average of 50 requests for clearances daily.
