Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Three workers were hurt when a warehouse caught fire in Valenzuela City yesterday morning.

Rescue workers failed to identify the victims, reportedly employees of Loyal Family Industrial Corp., whose warehouse is on G. Molina street in Barangay Veinte Reales.

City fire marshall Superintendent Jonas Silbano said the victims were taken to a nearby hospital.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started shortly after 10 a.m. and reached third alarm.

The warehouse had been used to store various chemicals and was reportedly owned by brothers Mark and Jacob Go.

The fire spread to the adjacent LCG Industrial Sales building and reached fifth alarm.

Firefighters were still trying to control the blaze as of press time because of the chemicals and plastic goods stored in the warehouse.
