Alleged ‘Sex Bomb’ snatcher caught

MANILA, Philippines - A woman, an alleged member of the “Sex Bomb” gang of snatchers and pickpockets, was arrested Wednesday, an official said yesterday.

Nerissa dela Cruz, also known as Nerissa Rabe or Rabe, was caught as she was walking near the Manila city hall. She is the subject of several arrest warrants issued by different courts in the city.

The modus of the gang – which includes eight women and two men – involves members pressing their chest against their male victim’s arm while they steal the victim’s belongings. They usually target foreigners, according to Senior Police Officer 2 Rewell Ramos of Manila Police District warrant section.

He added that most of the gang’s members are cousins.
