Manila Water to reduce water pressure

Rhodina Villanueva - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Manila Water has announced that portions of Metro Manila’s east zone, particularly those located in high elevations and at a farther distance from facilities, will experience lower-than-normal water pressure daily from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Monday to help manage the water supply in Angat Dam.

Some 155 barangays in Metro Manila and Rizal province, particularly in the cities of Makati, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Parañaque, Pasig, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig and Antipolo, and the municipalities of Angono, Cainta and Taytay, will be affected.

“We are implementing these service interruptions to help extend the supply from Angat until the second quarter of 2016,” the firm said.
