Woman found dead in Malabon

Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The body of a woman was found near a pile of garbage along M.H. del Pilar street in Barangay Tugatog, Malabon yesterday morning.

Three sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were found near the body of Marietta Quianzo, 38. She sustained a gunshot wound in the head.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Severino Abad Jr. said the shabu could be related to Quianzo’s killing.

Investigators found that Quianzo was the widow of Rolando Lunday, who was shot dead in their shanty on Concepcion street on Aug. 11.

Abad said the victim was considered a person of interest in Lunday’s death.

Quianzo’s sister told investigators that the victim went missing after she visited her daughter and granddaughter in Barangay Catmon on Sunday morning.
