MANILA, Philippines - A 47-year-old Quezon City police officer and his partner were found dead at their house in Quezon City Thursday afternoon, an official said yesterday.
The bodies of Police Officer 1 Emmanuel Tabora, a member of the Quezon City Police District Public Safety Battalion, and Jocelyn Rodaje, 39, residents of Upper Molave, Payatas B, were discovered at 1:30 p.m., Senior Inspector Elmer Monsalve, chief of the QCPD’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit homicide section, said.
Roman Pasamonte said he was standing in front of a convenience store near the victims’ house when he heard two gunshots a few days before the bodies were discovered.
Monsalve said another witness saw the victims’ decomposing bodies when he peeped through a hole in the bedroom when he smelled foul odor wafting from the house.
Investigators recovered a loaded Glock .40-caliber pistol at the scene.
