Man shoots self dead

MANILA, Philippines - A 22-year-old man died allegedly after he accidentally shot himself at his friend’s home in Quezon City at dawn yesterday.

Richard Cabredo died from a gunshot to the head, case investigator Police Officer 3 Jaime de Jesus of the Quezon City Police District Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said.

De Jesus said Cabredo was hanging out with his friend, Julius Robillano, at the latter’s house in Barangay Gulod when the victim took out his .38-caliber gun.

Cabredo allegedly pointed the gun at his temple, which went off.

Robillano told police that they decided not to bring Cabredo to the hospital since the victim was no longer breathing.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine if there was foul play in Cabredo’s death.
