MANILA, Philippines - Family and friends of alleged kidnap gang leader Rolando Fajardo yesterday offered a total of P3 million as a reward for information that would lead to the arrest of three policemen who were allegedly behind his murder last June.
Police Officers 2 Jerome Datinguinoo and Mark de Paz, and Marco Polo Estrera have a P1 million bounty on their heads.
The lawmen were assigned at La Loma, Quezon City police station when they and several other policemen were photographed kidnapping two men along EDSA in September last year.
The two men said the policemen extorted P2.1 million from them.
Datinguinoo, De Paz and Estrera were restricted to the Quezon City Police District headquarters after the incident but were reported missing when their arrest warrants were issued.
Fajardo’s kin distributed posters bearing the faces of these policemen, whom they said are also “involved in gun-for-hire activities.”
They urged those who can provide information to call 0905-423-6689, 0908-491-3284 and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) hotline 526-3747.
These three lawmen reportedly ambushed Fajar-do as his car was traversing Barangay Kalsada in Calamba, Laguna in June.
The motive for the murder has yet to be established but NBI agents described the attack as “very orchestrated.”
