MANILA, Philippines - A new expressway linking C5 Road to Cavitex Coastal Expressway will ease the traffic woes of thousands of Parañaque residents, according to the Cavitex Infrastructure Corp., a member of the Metro Pacific Tollways group of companies.
The link is a 7.7-kilometer urban expressway that is part of the government’s plan for the development of Metro Manila, and is the last unbuilt segment of the Circumferential Road No. 5 loop around the metropolis, the firm said yesterday.
Cavitex Infrastructure said the project has been endorsed by the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Parañaque City government and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources has issued an environmental compliance certificate.
The firm said it is ready to start construction as soon as the Toll Regulatory Board issues a notice to proceed.
