Gang man found dead in Valenzuela

Ramil Bajo, Rey Galupo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Investigators are trying to determine if an alleged member of a jailhouse gang, found dead in Valenzuela City before dawn Sunday, was a victim of summary execution, an official said yesterday.

The body of Edwin Sese, 31, was found along F. Santiago street in Barangay Parada shortly before 2 a.m. with a bullet wound in the back of the head.

Police officers recovered a bullet and a spent shell at the scene.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento told The STAR that Sese – an alleged member of the Sigue-Sigue Sputnik – was also reportedly a drug dealer in his neighborhood and led a gang who robbed homes.

He said Sese got out of jail several months ago and “we have monitored that he was back to his old ways. We are looking if he was killed by members of other rival gangs or some people just got rid of him.”
