Robbers break into 2 cars in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines - An ABS-CBN executive and another motorist lost gadgets and other valuables to robbers who smashed the windows of their cars in Quezon City Tuesday night.

Vince Rodriguez, who heads ABS-CBN’s sports and action channel, told police he lost his laptop and two external hard drives. Robbers smashed the window of his Ford Ranger XLT, which was parked at the intersection of Scout Reyes and Mother Ignacia streets, when he went to the gym, Police Officer 1 Karl Hector Cruz said.

Another victim, Arlene Franco, told police her laptop was missing and the window of her Honda City was smashed in when she returned to her car, which was parked in the same area as Rodriguez’s.

Investigators said the surveillance camera in the area was not functioning.
