MANILA, Philippines - A rookie policeman is in trouble for allegedly punching a police applicant and vowing to do everything to bar the criminology graduate from entering the Philippine National Police.
Jonathan Stanly Dionisio, 26, of Varona street, Tondo, Manila, went yesterday to the Manila Police District-General Assignment and Investigation Section (GAIS) to file a complaint against Police Officer 1 Mark Gonzales.
Dionisio said he was on a motorcycle along with his six-year-old child when Gonzalez blocked his path and punched him last Friday.
Charges of physical injuries and grave threat will be filed against Gonzales before the Manila Metropolitan Trial Court, case investigator Senior Police Office 2 Donald Panaligan said.
The complainant said the police officer initially threatened him in front of his house on March 5.
