MANILA, Philippines - The police report on the allegedly accidental shooting of Cavite Vice Gov. Jolo Revilla will be out next week, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief Director Carmelo Valmoria said yesterday.
Valmoria said the special investigation team, headed by Muntinlupa police chief Senior Superintendent Allan Nobleza, is finalizing its report on the incident.
Nobleza will base his report on the affidavits of witnesses submitted to the NCRPO, Valmoria said.
He said the investigation on Revilla’s case aims to put closure to the incident amid reports that the vice governor tried to commit suicide.
The family’s lawyer said Revilla was cleaning his caliber .40 Glock pistol when it went off, hitting him in the chest on Feb. 28.
