Hair stylist arrested for molesting teen

MANILA, Philippines - A hair stylist was arrested for allegedly molesting his 14-year-old customer at a salon in Barangay Bagbaguin, Valenzuela City Wednesday afternoon.

Michael Monter was arrested by Police Officer 1 Bajin Mohammad Abani when the girl and her grandmother sought his assistance after the incident reportedly took place in the True Star salon at past 2 p.m., city police chief Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento said.

The girl told police she went to the salon for a haircut and was attended by Monter, who reportedly groped her and tried to unzip her pants.

She said she left the salon after paying her bill and told her grandmother about the incident.

Monter was charged yesterday morning with acts of lasciviousness and child abuse, Armamento said.
