Army reservist nabbed for indiscriminate firing
MANILA, Philippines - A Philippine Army reservist was arrested for indiscriminate firing in Quezon City yesterday afternoon.
Jorge Pascua, 46, was reportedly drunk when he drew a pistol from his bag and started shooting, according to complainant Angelyn Ador, 27.
Ador said she was going to a nearby store with her two daughters and baby when she saw Pascua shooting, according to Police Officer 1 Maricel Bolambao. Residents alerted barangay officials and local police officers, who arrested Pascua and confiscated a .45 caliber Armscor pistol and a magazine with five bullets from him.
