MANILA, Philippines - A 21-year-old houseboy and a laborer were arrested in Pasay City Thursday morning for allegedly attempting to snatch a bag containing P.7 million from the houseboy’s employer.
Dino Orquin allegedly tipped off Salvador Castillo, 21, that his employer – businesswoman Romelyn Cuyong, 20 – was set to deposit the money at a bank along Harrison street, according to Senior Police Officer 1 Melvin Garcia.
At around 9 a.m., the two suspects tried to grab the bag from Cuyong as she was on her way to the bank. Senior Inspector Jolly Soriano and a security guard arrested the two men.
At the police station, Castillo told investigators Orquin told him his employer was about to deposit a large sum of money.
