MANILA, Philippines - A public school teacher lost P68,500 worth of gadgets and cash to a snatcher in Quezon City yesterday.
Ezel Anne Nicanor, 23, who works at Commonwealth High School, was in a jeepney along Sarmiento street in Barangay Nova Proper when a man seated beside her grabbed her bag at around 5:15 a.m.
Among the items stolen from Nicanor were a Blackberry phone, an iPhone 6, a power bank, a pocket wi-fi, and P1,200, according to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
An identification card bearing the name of Senior Inspector Edilberto Nicanor, school supplies, and some government-issued IDs were also stolen from the teacher.
The man was described to be 5’6” tall, slim, dark-complexioned and had many scars on his legs, the QCPD said.
Some of Nicanor’s ID cards were returned to her yesterday afternoon by two tricycle and truck drivers.
