MANILA, Philippines - A public school teacher lost P68,500 worth of gadgets and cash to a snatcher in Quezon City yesterday.

Ezel Anne Nicanor, 23, who works at Commonwealth High School, was in a jeepney along Sarmiento street in Barangay Nova Proper when a man seated beside her grabbed her bag at around 5:15 a.m.

Among the items stolen from Nicanor were a Blackberry phone, an iPhone 6, a power bank, a pocket wi-fi, and P1,200, according to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

An identification card bearing the name of Senior Inspector Edilberto Nicanor, school supplies, and some government-issued IDs were also stolen from the teacher.

The man was described to be 5’6” tall, slim, dark-complexioned and had many scars on his legs, the QCPD said.

Some of Nicanor’s ID cards were returned to her yesterday afternoon by two tricycle and truck drivers.
