MANILA, Philippines - The second of two boys run over by a train along Quirino Avenue in Manila died yesterday.
The 12-year-old, whose leg was amputated after a Divisoria-bound train ran him over, died while undergoing treatment at the Philippine General Hospital.
His remains were brought to St. Ivan Funeral for safekeeping.
The boy and his 13-year-old friend were walking along the railroad tracks Wednesday afternoon when the sound of an oncoming train caused them to panic.
Before they got off the tracks, the train – with body number MSC-1337 and driven by Jake Sevilla – ran them over, killing the teen.
Sevilla will face homicide charges for the boys’ deaths.
