MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested an alleged leader of a drug syndicate operating in Tondo, Manila Tuesday night.
Norbie Subanga, alias Senaya Sandag, 24, was nabbed for selling eight grams of shabu to undercover policemen near Gate 62 in Parola compound at past 10:30 p.m.
The Manila Police District (MPD) said Subanga, who was also tagged in gun-for-hire activities, has been a subject of anti-drug stings.
A composite team of anti-narcotics operatives from the MPD, National Capital Region Police Office and Philippine National Police’s intelligence division was responsible for the suspect’s arrest.
Chief Inspector Glenn Gonzalez of the MPD anti-drug unit said Subanga yielded three sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride.
A case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against her before the Manila prosecutor’s office, Gonzales said.
