MANILA, Philippines - At least 10 kilos of shabu, with an estimated street value of P50 million, was confiscated by police officers from four persons during a bust in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Chinese Chua Kevin Ang, 41, a resident of Binondo, Manila; was arrested along with Filipino-Chinese Wang Zhi Gui, 32, of Cubao, Quezon City; Al-Insan, 26, a native of Marawi and resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite; and Michelle Permali, 30, a native of Iligan City and resident of Barangay Bungad, Quezon City, according to Quezon City Police District director Senior Superintendent Joel Pagdilao.
According to a report, police officers of the District Anti-illegal Drug Special Operations Group, headed by Chief Inspector Robert Razon, were able to buy two kilos of shabu for P3 million from the suspects.
The transaction was done along Xavierville street near its intersection with Katipunan Avenue just before 8 a.m.
Eight more kilos of shabu were found in a paper bag stashed in the suspects’ Toyota Altis (AAX-1689). Police officers also seized two other vehicles used by the suspects – a gray Mazda with plate number XSM-908, and a black Ford Focus with plate number AAO-7880.
