Man robs coffee shop in QC
MANILA, Philippines - An unidentified man robbed the crew and customers of a coffee shop at the corner of E. Rodriguez Sr. Boulevard and Tomas Morato street in Quezon City Thursday night.
The robber ordered coffee at Kafe Hugo at around 9 p.m., went into the restroom and came out holding a gun, according to police.
He tied up the crew and customers and herded them into the restroom before leaving with their money and gadgets. One of the victims was able to shout for help through the restroom’s window.
Police officers are also checking if the same man robbed Lejoyz Spa along Tomas Morato street a few hours after the coffee shop heist.
Front desk receptionist Rochelle Tolentino, 30, told investigators that the robber took away the spa’s P8,000 earnings.
The robber, clad in a t-shirt with tribal prints and denim pants, carried a handgun and a black backpack, police said.
