MANILA, Philippines - A 63-year-old battery technician was gunned down in Barangay San Bartolome, Quezon City yesterday morning.
Reynaldo Gile was driving a Mitsubishi L300 van (RJL-776) along S. Francisco street just before 7 a.m. when two men on a motorcycle approached his vehicle, according to Chief Inspector Rodel Marcelo, Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit chief.
Witnesses said the back rider shot Gile repeatedly. The two men sped away.
The witnesses failed to take down the plate number of the assailants’ motorcycle.
Police officers recovered five cartridge cases and a bullet for a 9mm pistol at the crime scene. They have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
