Manhunt on for restaurant robbers

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has launched a manhunt for two men who robbed the crew and customers of a Kenny Roger’s Roasters restaurant last Sunday.

The robbers, who posed as customers, grabbed the security guard’s gun and tied him up. They also tied up some of the restaurant’s crewmembers as well as customers having breakfast at the establishment along Quezon Avenue at past 7 a.m., the QCPD said.

Two of the victims were crewmember Maly Layugan and customer Ma. Teresita Gallardo.

The two robbers sped away on a motorcycle, taking with them some high-end watches, including a Rolex watch worth P300,000; mobile phones and P200,000 cash.
