Siblings nabbed in P.7-M drug bust
MANILA, Philippines - A 24-year-old woman and her younger brother were arrested in a drug sting in front of a mall in Muntinlupa Friday afternoon, a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) official said yesterday.
Jonah Guzman and her brother, Jomar, 21, were apprehended beside the mall’s jeepney loading bay along Maharlika Highway after they reportedly handed an undercover PDEA agent 400 grams of shabu with a street value of P720,000, PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. said.
He said the siblings have been under surveillance for some time and the sting was planned by PDEA’s National Capital Region office under lawyer Jacquelyn de Guzman.
The siblings are under the custody of De Guzman while charges are being prepared against them.
