Minors rescued, pimp nabbed in Pasay hotel

MANILA, Philippines - Police rescued two young girls and arrested their alleged pimp in an entrapment operation in a hotel in Pasay City Friday night.

Jerrie Arraz will be slapped with charges of human trafficking, child abuse and pornography, Chief Inspector Elizabeth Jasmin of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said.

CIDG agents recovered from the suspect several condoms and Viagra pills.

Jasmin said two girls aged 16 and 20 were rescued during the operation.

Five more minors were rescued by the CIDG in a follow-up operation at the suspect’s house in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City. 

The minors were turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
