MANILA, Philippines - Investigators are still facing a blank wall as to the motive for the murder of a traffic policeman who was shot dead in Manila on Thursday night.
Senior Police Officer 1 Jonathan Bautista of Manila Police District homicide section said, compared with other cases involving police officers, the death of Police Officer 3 Rolando Flores is puzzling.
Bautista said he knew Flores, with whom he used to work, as a “quiet” man.
Flores was waiting the convoy of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada to pass by Legarda street about 7 p.m. when an unidentified assailant shot him six times.
He was seen begging for his life before he was shot thrice in the head.
