MANILA, Philippines - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group agents seized an estimated P250 million worth of fake branded items in raids conducted with the National Bureau of Investigation in Quiapo and Binondo in Manila on Thursday.

Law enforcers raided three units of the Fortune Palace building in Binondo and seized fake National Basketball Association jerseys worth more than P20 million.

Three hours later, they confiscated fake Samsung mobile phones, tablets, printers; Apple iPods; Beats Monster speakers; Hello Kitty mini-speakers; Sony MP5 players; and wristwatches bearing various brands from four units of the Gui building in Quiapo.

The seized items were brought to a Bureau of Customs warehouse for safekeeping while charges are being prepared against the owners of the counterfeit products, the CIDG reported.
