Engineer found dead in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines - The naked body of a retired civil engineer was found in his house in Malabon City Friday night.

Roberto Altares, 79, was discovered lifeless by a neighbor who peeked through the window of his house on Espiritu street, Barangay Tinajeros at past 6 p.m., said case investigator Police Officer 3 Rommel Habig.

Habig said Altares was found slumped on the floor, wearing only slippers and eyeglasses.

Police investigators have yet to determine if there was foul play in death of the former engineer.
