‘Most wanted’ men in Manila, Mandaluyong arrested
MANILA, Philippines - Six of the most wanted men in Manila and Mandaluyong have been arrested, police said yesterday.
According to a Manila Police District report obtained by The STAR, among those arrested were Eric Sevillano Guiro, Regie Arboleda, Rammel Gatdula, Dexter Asencio and Alvin Mendoza.
Guiro, linked to robberies and thefts in Sta. Mesa, is the fourth most wanted man in Manila. He was arrested along España Boulevard on Tuesday morning.
Arboleda, who is the seventh most wanted man in Tondo, was arrested Monday at Parola Compound, where he has been accused of mugging pedestrians and commuters.
Gatdula was arrested hours before Arboleda in connection with robberies along Dagupan Extension in Tondo.
Asencio, the 10th most wanted in Tondo, was arrested along Road 10 for robbing jeepney passengers last Nov. 2.
Mendoza, the sixth most wanted man in Sta. Ana, was arrested last Oct. 28, also for robbery.
Meanwhile, Christopher Baroga, the fifth most wanted man in Mandaluyong City was arrested in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan Wednesday.
Baroga, arrested for robbery, is reportedly a member of the Abraham-Katipunan-Anover robbery group operating in eastern Metro Manila, according to Senior Superintendent Ronald Lee, head of the counter-intelligence division of the Intelligence Group. – Aie Balagtas See, Non Alquitran
