Non Alquitran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Police have filed charges against a 30-year-old woman who was caught with three kilos of shabu worth P18 million in Manila last week.

Shiela Adam Somar was charged with violation of Republic Act 6425 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office last Saturday.

Senior Superintendent Ronald Lee, Task Force Tugis chief, said Somar was driving a Toyota Vios with license plate RCC-796 when she was flagged down by operatives of Task Force Tugis and Highway Patrol Group along Agoncillo street in Malate.

During interrogation, Lee said his men found three kilos of shabu inside the car.

A check with the Land Transportation Office showed that the car’s plate number was issued to a Mitsubishi Delica van.

Lee said the suspect refused to reveal the source of the illegal drugs seized from her.

Somar is being held at the Task Force Tugis detention cell at Camp Crame.
