Miriam College gets bomb threat anew

Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Another bomb threat hit Miriam College in Quezon City yesterday, but it did not suspend classes this time.

Inspector Noel Sublay, head of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Explosives and Ordnance Division, said the bomb scare turned out to be a hoax.

Sublay said that Jerilee Ann Salvador, sophomore student council president, received the bomb threat at 9 a.m.

Police said the prankster informed Salvador that three bombs were planted in the school’s premises.

A bomb squad from the QCPD inspected the campus but found no bomb.

Miriam College suspended classes on Oct. 8 after it received a bomb threat.
